Frequently Asked Questions
With decades of combined lived experience as professionals and as parents and relatives of autistic children, we understand both the deep joy and the real challenges of this journey. Autism parenting can hold moments of connection and pride, alongside uncertainty, emotional strain, and questions about the future.
Daily life often requires extra patience — navigating communication differences, managing challenging behaviours, supporting school demands, and staying emotionally steady through constant change. Each day brings new situations to respond to, and few parents ever get a true mental pause.
Over time, this can leave parents feeling emotionally drained, overwhelmed, and disconnected from themselves — not because they are doing something wrong, but because they are carrying so much.
That’s why caring for yourself is not a luxury — it’s a necessity. When parents receive the right support, everything becomes more sustainable.
Here are three principles we often return to with parents:
Give yourself permission to take space and rest
Learn tools to understand and regulate your emotions
Accept that mistakes are part of being human — not a failure

Insight Terapi is for parents of autistic children who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or in need of support for themselves.
Our services are designed to support the parent behind the child, not to assess or treat the child.
Whether you feel stressed, anxious, burned out, unsure, or simply need someone who truly understands autism parenting, you are in the right place.
What makes Insight Terapi different from other services?
What makes Insight Terapi unique is that we combine professional training with real lived experience.
Our coaches and therapists are not only qualified professionals — they are also parents of autistic children themselves. This means we understand the emotional reality, daily pressure, and long-term challenges of autism parenting from the inside.
Because of this, we apply CBT, coaching, and therapeutic methods in ways that truly work for parents raising autistic children — not generic approaches designed for other life situations.
All Insight Terapi services are for you as a parent.
We do not assess, diagnose, or work directly with your child.
Instead, we focus on helping you manage stress, emotions, mental load, and decision-making so you can feel stronger, calmer, and more stable in your parenting role.
We offer three parent-focused services:
Parent Support Talk – A gentle one-to-one meeting focused on emotional relief, clarity, and being heard.
Parent Guidance Coaching – Structured support with practical tools and guidance for daily challenges.
Parent Emotional Therapy – Deeper therapeutic support for burnout, anxiety, grief, guilt, or long-term emotional strain.
You can choose the service that best fits where you are right now — or we can help you decide.
Our 5-Week Parent Transformation Program – “From Overwhelm to Stability” is a structured emotional reset designed specifically for parents of autistic children.
The program includes:
1 one-to-one meeting per week for 5 weeks
45 minutes per meeting
Practical, CBT-based emotional coaching
Immediate tools you can apply in everyday life
Week 1 is free and gives you the opportunity to experience our approach without pressure.
Yes.
Week 1 of the 5-week program includes a free 45-minute one-to-one meeting.
There is no obligation to continue.
It is designed to give you clarity, relief, and a real sense of whether this support is right for you.
No.
Many parents are unsure what type of support they need — and that is completely okay.
You can simply book a one-to-one meeting, and together we’ll explore what level of support fits you best right now.
All meetings are held online via Zoom or Google Meet.
You can join from anywhere using your computer, tablet, or phone.
This makes it easier to get support without adding extra stress to your schedule.
Some of our services are therapeutic, but not all.
Parent Support Talk is not therapy.
Parent Guidance Coaching is coaching-based support.
Parent Emotional Therapy is therapeutic support provided by trained professionals.
We will always be clear about what type of support you are receiving.
Yes.
All meetings are confidential and handled with professional care and ethical standards.
Your story, emotions, and experiences are treated with respect and privacy.
That is completely okay.
Many parents feel relief simply by being understood.
You do not need to “hold it together” here.
Our role is to create a safe, supportive space where you can be human.
