FAQ about ATT® Therapy
With over 2 decades of firsthand experience as parents and relatives of children with ASD, we truly understand the blend of joy and challenges that comes with it. Parenting a child with an ASD diagnosis can range from the joy of hearing those first words to the uncertainties of what the future holds.
Communication can be complex, often requiring extra patience to handle challenging behaviors and navigate school demands. Each day presents new opportunities—and new hurdles.
This journey can sometimes leave parents feeling emotionally drained and even disconnected from themselves.
That’s why prioritizing self-care is so important. Taking care of both body and mind can make parenting a bit lighter.
Here are three tips we often share to help manage stress:
- Make time for yourself.
- Learn strategies and tools to navigate your emotions.
- Accept that making mistakes is okay.

Accelerated transformative Therapy ATT® is a form of therapy that focuses on identifying and strengthening the client’s strengths and resources rather than solely examining the root of problems. The therapy aims to create concrete solutions and strategies for managing current feelings and situations.
ATT® (Accelerated Transformation Therapy) differs from traditional therapy in several ways:
Solution-focused: ATT® emphasizes developing solutions and future-oriented strategies, whereas traditional therapy often explores the origins of problems and emotional aspects.
Combination of methods: ATT® integrates various therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, NLP, and mindfulness, to provide more comprehensive support.
Time frame: ATT® aims to achieve results in a shorter period, contrasting with traditional therapy, which may extend over a longer period to explore deeper emotions and patterns.
Practical focus: ATT® seeks to provide concrete tools for managing current and future challenges, while traditional therapy often places more emphasis on understanding and processing the past.
Yes, ATT® can create lasting changes by:
Increasing awareness: By helping individuals become aware of their thoughts and behaviors, allowing for a deeper understanding of themselves.
Setting clear intentions: Participants learn to formulate specific goals and intentions, creating a clear direction for change.
Creating a positive feedback loop: By encouraging positive behaviors and reinforcing them, which increases motivation for continued change.
Providing practical tools: ATT® offers practical tools that individuals can use in their daily lives to manage challenges and strengthen their capacity for change.
Building a supportive environment: By promoting a positive and supportive environment where changes can happen naturally, making individuals feel secure in their transformation process.
ATT® (Accelerated Transformation Therapy) is highly effective in addressing a range of emotions and challenges that parents or relatives of children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) diagnoses may face.
These include, but are not limited to, the following:
Overwhelming emotions: Navigating the pressures and expectations of daily life.
Helplessness: The feeling of being unable to affect change or manage the situation.
Stress: Ongoing concern about the child’s future and overall well-being.
Loneliness: The sense of lacking support or understanding from others.
Fear: Anxiety about the child's social development and interactions.
Frustration: The feeling of being stuck or powerless in difficult situations.
Guilt: Worries about what could have been done differently.
Exhaustion: Physical and emotional fatigue from constant demands.
Anxiety: Concern about upcoming challenges and the unknowns of the future.
Hopelessness: A belief that things won’t improve or change.
Through ATT® Accelerated Transformation Therapy, these emotions can be processed and managed in a constructive way, fostering greater well-being and balance for both parents, relatives, and the child/children with ASD diagnoses.
Many people wonder how many ATT® therapy sessions are required to get an idea of the total cost. Typically, therapy lasts between 5 to 10 sessions, but it is difficult to determine exactly, as it varies from person to person.
You decide how many sessions you want, and you don't need to decide this in advance. After each session, we will discuss whether and when to schedule the next one.
We will evaluate your situation to see if ATT® (Accelerated Transformation Therapy) is the right fit for you. There's no need for special preparation, but you are encouraged to share what you'd like us to focus on. At the beginning of the session, we'll explain what the assessment entails before deciding whether to move forward.
No, we offer a discounted first full 60-minute session for only $10.
